It's a first for us. The first coffee from Rwanda that we've featured as our Roaster's Choice. And we've never tasted anything like it. Carefully grown and processed at high altitude in the Burera region of northern Rwanda, this beautiful coffee is the result of years of hard work by over 850 small farmers to bring their crop to the specialty coffee market. Rwanda has been rebuilding it's coffee sector since the devastation caused by the genocide in the mid 1990's.
This coffee tastes of sweet plums & caramel, with an elegant, lingering finish. Perhaps what is most delicious, however, are the deep notes of persistence, determination and hard won success. We are proud to be able to share this coffee with our friends and fellow coffee lovers. Enjoy!
