Price Increases: the Good & the Bad
Dear Friends and Fellow Coffee Lovers,
First, the bad news: Coffee costs have continued to increase at historic rates due to a multitude of factors. Chaos in the markets & changing trade policies, as well as the effects on crops due to changing weather patterns, have caused much higher prices for green coffee. Shipping, packaging and labor costs have also gone up.
Like many other roasters, we’ve been absorbing these additional costs for as long as possible, but in order for us to remain a healthy, quality driven company, we have determined that we need to raise our prices to meet this new normal.
The good news is that with careful & meticulous sourcing, we are pleased with the quality of the coffees that we have acquired going forward, and we are hoping beyond hope that prices are starting to plateau.
More good news: Coffee Subscribers will continue to receive a 10% discount on all orders!
We have always been committed to bringing the finest quality coffee to our customers at the best possible pricing, and we'll do everything in our power to continue to do so.
Thanks for your business, it means the world to us.
With Gratitude,
Dan & Meg Donohue Founders/Owners Blue Star Coffee
